Pre-Fix Notes


(This is not the "we fixed every system" patch; see "Outstanding Issues" below. This is a patch before that patch, to enable people who might be so inclined to play(test), revisit, re-rate, or review it who would otherwise find it difficult because of time zones or their schedule.)

Patch Notes

The many different systems that were kludged together in a horribly broken and player-thwarting way have been pulled apart and reorganized. They are now kludged together in a completely different way, one that (mostly) works.

The game now flows correctly instead of skipping sequences or trapping the player.

Music tracks are present and activated correctly, if inelegantly.

The in-game credits sequence is now implemented (kind of: see "Outstanding Issues" below).

Dialogue has been rewritten to match necessary changes to implementation.

The chest items script now routes back to the dialogue correctly.

The "combo meter" system now works correctly (kind of: see "Outstanding Issues" below).

The scrolling "chat" GUI element is active again, but does need a little more work to match desired behavior.

Corrected mistakes in dialogue formatting.

Fixed an issue where the player character could roam around while in conversation.

Fixed an issue with collision and damage detection that could result in the player character becoming trapped in level geometry.

Replaced placeholder art with original art just in case of a misinterpretation about rights granted.

The game should now be playable!

Outstanding Issues

Attempting to trigger the game credits after the dialogue softlocks (?) the game.

The "combo meter" system doesn't fully work correctly.

Need to quickly adjust the GUI to reduce player confusion and frustration.

Combat and combos continue to frustrate because they do not quite work as described in dialogue.
